There must be some sort of a block of text not used in your file. If you use the outline instead of Preview is there anything strange rectangle which could be a unused TF? You could also select all and use the Document Info Panel to see how many TFs are listed.

I use Adobe Illustrator CS6, CS5 upgrade on a Win7 machine. I have an old Type 1 hangover (Interstate) where I am replaced with a custom face of open Type of police Office (InterstateRL). I removed the old fonts from my system, in order to eradicate all instances and replace it with open each Illustrator file used by week. Look in the Normal Character Style (or any style) - lack of fonts do not use
Document setup > highlight substituted fonts - none appear
Go to finding fonts to find missing fonts - but apparently not finding fonts
Go to object > path > cleaning and check empty text paths, and then click ok. Close, and then reopen the document. -does, no change
Check that there are no hidden layer - there is no hidden layers or sublayers
Check if all the colorless formatted text objects that use the missing font - none
Check patterns and symbols, if there is no text inside those. Find police search only what is in the document. -Choose all symbols and deleted (it does not include the text), no change.

SOLUTION! This appears to related to the fact that the object in the file was a GRAPH. Increments appeared always empty in the final document, and the corresponding cells in the datasheet were empty. To resolve this problem, I had to enter text in each empty cell in the first column of the datasheet to make it visible under a label the x-axis in the chart. Since it does not matter what was the text, I just used a symbol period in each empty cell. I could select group the x-axis label text at the bottom of the chart, and then apply the character Style in the favorite police and ERASE the substitution (if it was) to the character Style.

I then closed and then reopened, and missing fonts message did not appear. I removed the open periods in the map data, saved again, and the message of missing fonts appears to be gone for good.

It appears that regardless of the police has been assigned to the category of chart label text was always affected, even if the police were not visible in one of the panels or through the find fonts.

Yes, older versions of the Creative Suite that included Adobe Illustrator included the old, now obsolete versions Type 1 of myriad. Due to a virus, I had to erase the hard drive of my computer. I reinstalled the software Adobe CS3 Design Premium and have noticed that I lost fonts in the process. (All the open type fonts: Adobe Jenson Pro, Porky, to name a few). I began with Adobe CS2, but did not put that on the computer with the re - install. I search in the collection of fonts from CS2 disc and can't see any missing fonts.

Does anyone know if I did something wrong, or how to recover fonts?

Windows XP operating system

Eight fonts Adobe Jenson Pro family were bundled with Creative Suite 2.0, 3.0 InDesign and InCopy CS2, InDesign CS2. Was the set of included fonts: Regular, Italic, Bold, Bold Italic, Semibold, Semibold Italic, Light and Light Italic.

If you have disks for one of these products, you should be able to find the fonts Adobe Jenson Pro here.

Replace missing fonts

InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator have Adobe Fonts (previously named Typekit) fully integrated with the desktop software. When you open a file that uses fonts which aren't available on your computer, the missing fonts window will show which of those fonts are included with your Creative Cloud subscription.

Use the checkboxes to choose the fonts you want to activate, and then click the Activate button to add them to your computer.

You need to be connected to the internet and logged in to the Creative Cloud desktop application to activate missing fonts through Creative Cloud.

Once the fonts have been added to your computer, they will be applied automatically to the text in your document. You can then continue working with the text as usual.

If there is any problem activating the new fonts, you’ll see an error message in the Missing Fonts dialog and in the Creative Cloud desktop application.

You might have a font that’s not displaying correctly or seems to be unavailable in your drop-down menu of fonts in InDesign (accessible from the Character Formatting Controls panel at the top of the workspace).

Even though you initially seemed to install the font successfully onto your Windows or Mac system, the font might not be showing up in InDesign for a number of reasons.

The first possible reason is that the font is hiding in InDesign’s menu somewhere, but not in the place you’re looking. If you install a certain style of Arial, for example, say a Black weight, and can’t find it under the usual ‘Arial’ drop-down menu, InDesign may have categorised it as a different font family, and it may be lurking somewhere else in the menu.

Try typing ‘A-r-i-a. ’ etc when you access the font drop-down menu to prompt InDesign to search the full range of options available in the menu. It's possible you'll see that your InDesign fonts aren't missing, but sitting where you're not expecting them.

The second reason for a missing font in InDesign is that the font might not have been activated properly. It may be that the font in question isn’t in your InDesign Font Folder for some reason. This is a common problem to run into if InDesign doesn't recognize fonts.

InDesign maintains its own font folder that's distinct from your computer’s default font folder. You can navigate to your InDesign Font Folder by following these paths:

Windows: Program Files/Common Files/Adobe/Fonts

macOS: Library/Application Support/Adobe/Fonts

You can manually drop font files in here to be able to use them instantly in your InDesign documents. You don’t even need to install them to be able to use them—they'll appear instantly in InDesign’s font menu. It's a quick fix if fonts aren't showing up in InDesign.

It’s possible that you've been using fonts from the seemingly magic “Document fonts” folder inside the same enclosing folder as your InDesign document. Generally, this folder is created when an InDesign file is packaged, but you can also create the folder manually.

Fonts that are in this folder will install when the InDesign document is opened and un-install when it closes. Make sure all the fonts you need are inside the “magic” folder. This could solve your InDesign missing fonts problem.

If you're using a font manager—like FontAgentPro or Suitcase—be sure that the missing font in InDesign that you’re looking for has been activated. Once the font is activated, most font managers will make the font available within InDesign immediately, while some require a restart of InDesign.

Another possible reason for missing fonts, if you’re working in InDesign CC, is that Adobe Typekit hasn’t successfully synced your selected fonts to your desktop. If this is the case, check your internet connection, and verify that you're successfully signed in to Creative Cloud. Sometimes simply un-syncing and re-syncing will make the fonts appear in InDesign. Typekit will sync fonts automatically when the conditions are right.

This is a frustrating reason for InDesign missing fonts, as this is usually an issue with the source file and not your software. But there are some actions you can take to solve the problem.

Firstly, look for alternative places from which to download the font file. Did you download it from a questionable website? Take a look on Google to see if you can find any alternative places to download the font. You might find that just the original version of the font that you installed was corrupt.

It’s true, however, that sometimes free fonts are free for a reason—some of them can be riddled with corruptions and errors, and haven’t been designed for use across a wide range of systems. Why not look into finding an alternative font that achieves a similar typographic look? Search for ‘similar fonts to [name of font]’, or try out a service like Identifont or What the Font. You might find something you like even more!

Сейчас мы подробно рассмотрим как при помощи программирования можно заменить отсутствующий шрифт. Итак, начнем! Во первых, получим все используемые шрифты в документе

Каждый шрифт имеет свойство status и мы можем циклом просмотреть все шрифты для обнаружения тех, которые не имеют свойства ‘FontStatus.INSTALLED’:
