Что получилось на выходе? Скоростной браузер с довольно удобным, пусть и несколько непривычным интерфейсом. Впрочем, большую часть аудитории Puffin для виндоус составляют пользователи, которые уже успели оценить мобильную версию браузера. Так что для них неожиданностей не будет.

Повышенная безопасность. Вся информация, находящаяся в облаке (а именно этот факт и смущает пользователей), надежно зашифрована. Так что вы можете спокойно работать в браузере, даже подключаясь к незащищенным точкам доступа Wi-fi. К вашим личным данным доступа никто не получит.
А еще Flash плеер самостоятельно обновляется, работать в браузере можно даже без мыши за счет встроенной вертикальной панели и виртуального джойстика, страницы автоматически переводятся на «язык по умолчанию» (в нашем случае русский), доступен режим «инкогнито», а так же возможность поменять цвет панели инструментов на ваш любимый.

Компания выпустила Beta версию браузера Пуффин для Виндовс. Скачайте установочный файл внизу страницы. Запустите установку.
Выбираете путь установки.
Папку для установки браузера.
Создаете ярлык для запуска браузера на рабочем столе.
Завершаете установку браузера Puffin (Пуффин) на Windows.
Как установить Puffin Browser на Виндовс 10, 8, 7 через Блюстакс
Если у вас Windows 7, считайте, повезло. Под эту версию Пингвина уже отлично подогнали. Поэтому просто скачиваете файл, устанавливаете и наслаждаетесь жизнью. Если же на вашей машине установлена «восьмерка» или «десятка», придется немного потанцевать с бубном. Но не сильно, так что не пугайтесь.
Теперь об установке.
- Начало более чем банальное – загрузите установочный файл.
- Запустите его.
- Виндоус непременно поинтересуется: «Разрешить следующей программе внести изменения на этом компьютере». Конечно «Да».
- После окончания установки появится окно инициализации, где будут загружаться игровые данные. Здесь тоже все происходит автоматически, надо только подождать (ниже скриншоты полного процесса установки).
- Как только процесс завершится и откроется окно с планшетным интерфейсом – можно начинать работу.
После этого зайдите в Плей Маркет, найдите приложение через поисковик. Выберите «Установить». Примите условия использования. Дождитесь окончания установки. Можете начинать работу.
Как удалить браузер
Самый простой и быстрый способ удалить Пуффин: через все тот же Bluestacks (если его устанавливали через него).
- Запустите Bluestacks.
- Зайдите в Плей Маркет.
- Найти нужную программу, зайти на ее страницу.
- Выбрать удалить.
Если вы ставили бета версию для Виндовст, то воспользуйтесь Удалением программ из системы.

Puffin Browser – обозреватель, выпущенный специально для мобильных телефонов и планшетов. Изначально – для iPhone, чуть позже появилась и версия для Android. Your most visited websites are displayed in the New Tab page.
The URL bar: your doorway to information online
Whether you know the exact URL or not, the URL bar conveniently takes you to the destination you are looking for online. Enter the website address directly or enter search keywords, and Puffin will present you with relevant information from your bookmarks, or take you to the results from the search engine of your choice.
Browse the Internet without a trace in Incognito mode
If you are concerned about leaving browsing data on the device you are using, browsing in Incognito mode can ease your worries. Enable Incognito mode to access confidential data on the web. Once the browsing session ends, close Puffin and all traces of browsing history are deleted automatically.

Speed Dials in Puffin allow you to have quick access to your favorite websites in the Start Page or when opening a new tab. Puffin automatically detects the websites you visit most often and display them in Speed Dials.
Replace the system default websites
At first-time launch, Puffin automatically presents some of the most popular websites to you. If you want to remove any of the default websites, click on the x button on the upper right corner of the website thumbnail.
Add websites to speed dials
To make a website appear in Speed Dials, just visit it more than five times, and it will be automatically added to Speed Dials.
Puffin supports tabbed browsing. Access multiple websites in a Puffin instance by opening them in different tabs.
Open a new tab
At the top of the Puffin app window, click on the + button on the right to the last tab, or press Ctrl + T to open a new tab.
About the new tab page
When you open a new tab, three elements are displayed: the navigation bar, search bar, and Speed Dials.
By default, Speed Dials are displayed, allowing easy access to frequently visited websites.
You can switch to History and Bookmarks views easily on the navigation bar, which give you a view of your browsing data and allow you to quickly get back to websites that matter to you.
Search terms and URL addresses can be directly typed in the search bar for quick retrieval of relevant information.
Rearrange tabs
You can easily change the postion of tabs by clicking a tab and dragging it to the left or right.
Close a tab
You can close a tab by clicking the "x" button on the tab, press the mouse middle key on the tab, or press the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + W.
Restore a closed a tab
After closing a tab, you can restore it by pressing Ctrl + Shift + T.
Bookmark a website
Save your favorite website as a bookmark to quickly return to it. Bookmarks can be created in the following two ways.
- On the website you would like to bookmark, press Ctrl + D and select the location you would like to place the bookmark.
- Click the star icon on the URL bar and then click Done. The current website you are browsing would be bookmarked.
Cancel bookmarking a website
A bookmark can be easily removed in the following ways.
- When browsing a website which is already bookmarked, click on the star icon at the end of the URL bar. Then click Remove to delete the bookmark.
- Go to the main menu >Bookmarks. Right-click on the bookmark you want to delete and click Delete.
- If a bookmark appears on the bookmarks bar, right-click on the bookmark and click Delete to delete it.
Organize bookmarks
Put your bookmarks in folders or arrange them in the order you like to locate them quickly.
Put bookmarks in folders
- Go to the main menu >Bookmarks. Right click on any empty area and click New folder to create a new folder.
- Drag any bookmark you like into the folder.
- If you're on the bookmark bar, right-click at the end of the bar and click New folder to create a new folder.
Rearrange bookmarks
- Go to the main menu >Bookmarks. Drag a bookmark up or down to change its position. You can also place a bookmark in a folder by dragging it into a folder on the left pane.
- On the bookmarks bar, drag a bookmark left or right to change its position.
Find a bookmark
- Go to the main menu >Bookmarks.
- Type your search keyword in the search field on the upper right corner.
- The bookmarks whose title match the search keyword would appear.
Import and export bookmarks
You can import bookmarks from another device with Puffin installation or a different browser into Puffin.

Import bookmarks from the HTML export file of a different browser
- Export bookmarks as an HTML file.
- Go to the main menu >Bookmarks.
- Click Import.
- Select Import bookmarks from HTML file. from the dropdown menu and specify the HTML bookmarks file.
- Bookmarks from the HTML file are imported into Puffin.

- Go to the main menu >Bookmarks.
- Select Export bookmarks to HTML file. from the dropdown menu.
- Click Export.
- Specify the location to save the HTML file.
- Use the HTML file to import your bookmarks into a different browser.
Use the Bookmarks bar
To open bookmarks faster, use the bookmarks bar to access frequently visited sites quickly. The bookmarks bar is located under the URL bar. Go to the main menu and check Show bookmarks bar to enable it.
See your browsing history
Puffin automatically keeps records of the websites you have visited. To see your browsing history, go to the main menu > History.
To find a specific website you have visited, use the search bar on the upper right corner and enter keywords.
Clear browsing history
To delete specific entries in the browsing history, click the checkboxes next to the website you wish to delete, and then click the Remove selected items button on the upper left corner.
To clear a bulk of records, click the Clear all button on the upper left corner. Select the time interval of records you wish to delete from the dropdown menu, and then click Delete.
You can also use the Incognito mode to browse without leaving any history data in Puffin.
Search for keywords in the address bar
When you type words instead of full URLs in the URL bar, Puffin will look for relevant websites in your browsing history and provide suggestions from your history as well as auto complete suggestions from the search engine of your choice.
Configure the search engine
Puffin currently supports four search engines: Google (default), Bing, NAVER, and Yandex. To change the search engine, go to the main menu > Settings > Search engine, and select a search engine you like from the dropdown list.
More search engines and customizations will be added to Puffin in the near future.
To enable Incognito browsing, click the main menu > New Incognito Window. All website data from the Incognito window will be cleared once you close Puffin.
To print a webpage from Puffin, go to the main menu > Print or press Ctrl + P.
Puffin displays a print preview page for you to review the layout. Hover the cursor to the top to download the PDF output or print physical copies from the printer.
Puffin Secure Browser allows you to download files to local storage as well as directly to cloud storage services. The cloud storage services we support include Google Drive, Dropbox, and OneDrive.
Note: All files are automatically scanned for viruses before they reach their download destinations for Enterprise plan subscribers.
Download files to local storage
Click the link to the file you wish to download.
In the pop-up dialog, select Local storage.
The file will be saved to your desired location in local storage.
Note: You can set Local storage as the default download destination by selecting Use the same destination for future downloads in the pop-up dialog.
Download files to Google Drive
Click the link to the file you wish to download.
In the pop-up dialog, select Google Drive.
Enter your Google username and password to give Puffin the permission to create a folder and files in your Google Drive.
The file will be saved to your Google Drive.
You will not need to authorize Puffin again the next time you download a file to Google Drive.
Note: You can set Google Drive as the default download destination by selecting Use the same destination for future downloads in the pop-up dialog.
Download files to Dropbox
Click the link to the file you wish to download.
In the pop-up dialog, select Dropbox.
Enter your Dropbox username and password to give Puffin the permission to create a folder and files in your Dropbox.
The file will be saved to your Dropbox.
You will not need to authorize Puffin again the next time you download a file to Dropbox.
Note: You can set Dropbox as the default download destination by selecting Use the same destination for future downloads in the pop-up dialog.
Download files to OneDrive
Click the link to the file you wish to download.
In the pop-up dialog, select OneDrive.
Enter your Microsoft username and password to give Puffin the permission to create a folder and files in your OneDrive.
The file will be saved to your OneDrive.
You will not need to authorize Puffin again the next time you download a file to OneDrive.
Note: You can set OneDrive as the default download destination by selecting Use the same destination for future downloads in the pop-up dialog.
Remove your cloud storage account information
Follow the steps below to remove your cloud storage account information from Puffin Secure Browser.
- Go to main menu > Settings.
- Go to Clear browsing data.
- Select Cloud storage authorization.
- Click Clear.
Puffin is a remote browser. The websites you see on your desktop device are actually rendered from our cloud servers. If you are experiecing issues with connection or performance, go to the main menu > Reconnect to server. Your browsing session will be transferred to a different server.

Puffin Secure Browser provides a full-screen mode for you to browse websites in a distraction-free environment.
To enable the full-screen mode, press F11 on your keyboard. The URL bar and bookmark bar will be temporarily hidden
Press F11 again to exit the full-screen mode.
Puffin Secure Browser provides a built-in Ad blocker, which you can enable to browse websites without seeing ads.
Follow the steps below to enable the ad blocker.
- Go to the main menu >Settings.
- Go to Content settings.
- Turn on Ad Blocker (Beta).
Note: Ad blocker is still in beta. Feel free to contact us if you find any websites where Ad blocker can work better.
