No bag entry mac os что это

Was given a MacBook Air (2013) secondhand, with one stipulation being that I delete the previous owner's info and items off of the Macbook before I started using it. Did that to Apple's specifications on their website, but whenever it boots into Recovery Mode and I click on reinstall Sierra, I get a "no bag entry" error after clicking go on the MacOS Sierra screen.

I'm at my wits end, and this is basically my last option before I call it quits. Can anyone guide me?

Make sure you're connected to internet before you enter the re-install flow. The machine needs to talk to Apple's servers to verify the license, that's why this error comes up.

This was exactly what was wrong for me. After reading this I checked and the mac was connected to a WIFI network with no internet connection. I fixed that and the error went away.

My suggestion is to create a bootable flash drive with the macOS Sierra installer on it.

  • Boot from the flash drive.
  • Erase the internal harddisk.
  • Reinstall macOS Sierra.

Preparation:

  • Download macOS Sierra Installer from the Mac App Store. Once the download completes, it will automatically launch. Quit macOS Sierra Installer app without performing the installation.
  • Take a 16GB or larger USB flash drive to create a bootable Sierra installer. This flash drive is only needed for a clean install on your Mac’s startup drive.

How to create a bootable flash drive:

  1. Create a bootable flash drive with macOS Sierra.

First, make sure your USB flash drive is formatted and named as “Untitled”.

  • To format a USB drive launch Disk Utility (Finder -> /Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility).
  • Select your USB drive under External.
  • Click the Erase tab at the top of the Disk Utility window. Select Mac OS Extended (Journaled) from the format list. Then, click the Erase button. When the process is complete, click Done, and close the Disk Utility window.
  • If your drive is named something else, you need to rename it (Open Finder -> right click on the USB drive and choose Rename).

Now, your USB flash drive is ready.

Launch Terminal (Finder/Applications/Utilities/Terminal)

Enter the following text into Terminal. It may be best to just copy it from here (try triple-clicking) and paste it in.

sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Sierra.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/Untitled --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Sierra.app --nointeraction

Hit the Enter key.

Terminal will ask you for an admin password (the one you use to log in). It won’t display characters when you type, so just do it. Hit Return. You’ll see that Terminal erases your drive. Then, Terminal will copy the installer file to your disk. This will take a few minutes. When the process is complete, the Terminal window will report "Done." You can quit Terminal and your bootable macOS Sierra installer USB drive is ready for use.

Have an Imac late 2009 that was donated by my boss so that I could use it in my art department - I wanted to wipe and reinstall clean.

In recovery mode I select "Reinstall macOS", click continue and it says "To download and restore macOS, your computers eligibility will be verified with Apple" (Knowing that it will need internet access to do this, I turn on the wi-fi and connect successfully) . I click continue and it says "Loading installation information. " After about 45 seconds it times out and throws up "NO BAG ENTRY". Can't do anything after that other than going through the same process again. Restarted, nothing.

I wanted to wipe it clean to give to one my team members so I did the following:

- It was barely used with literally nothing on the HD but still running Snow Leopard. I figured it would be best to upgrade to the latest possible OS before wiping. I didn't think I'd be able to get it to the latest in recovery mode, so I figured I could manage the upgrade upfront and then wipe.

- I used my personal icloud login to gain access to the later OS updates through the "purchases" tab in the App Store. Otherwise, there was nothing available in the app store for the jump to Lion and beyond.

- At some point in this process I installed this patch from Apple before getting it up to Sierra, but I dont believe it helped in anyway. Mac App Store Update for OS X Snow Leopard

- I upgrade successfully to Sierra, but the app store is blank. Just sits there gray and you cannot select any of the tabs. I tried playing around with my internet connection but I could get on to make the necessary follow-up upgrades to Sierra (Safari worked fine, internet was on - ran diagnostics).

- Growing tired of trying different things, I decided to start up in Recovery mode and do an erase and reinstall. In hindsight I probably should have remedied the app store issue and upgraded to the very latest Sierra, but I figured I could take care of it after reinstalling again.

So that takes me to where I am now and my issue -

My guess is it cannot verify the eligibility because of something to do with how the app store was non-responsive before I erased the HD.

Disk Utility (Finder -> /Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility).

(Finder/Applications/Utilities/Terminal).

sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Sierra.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/Untitled --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Sierra.app --nointeraction .

Enter.
