Оснащение урока: О.Л.Гроза, “Английский язык нового тысячелетия” Учебник английского языка для 10 класса общеобразовательных учреждений, 2010 г, магнитофон, аудиокассета, мультимедиапроектор, компакт-диск.

Формы организации познавательной деятельности: индивидуальная, парная, фронтальная.

Система контроля на уроке: контроль учителя, самоконтроль учащихся.

I. Организационный момент. (2 мин.)

Good Morning, students. Glad to see you! Sit down, please. (Слайд 1)

The theme of today’s lesson is “Books or computers? Who will be the winner?” There are different opinions about the future of books and computers. There can be little doubt about the advantages of computers. But books have been a part of our culture for hundreds of years. Who will be the winner?

Today at the lesson we’ll learn how to express opinion, agreement and disagreement, answer questions, use new words in speech and by the end of the lesson you will be able to make a report about the future of books and computers.

II. Разминка. (2 мин.)

There are different means of storing information.

1. What means of storing information were there in the ancient times?

2. What followed manuscripts?

3. What will follow books?

4. Please, open your books, look at the pictures at page 122 and let’s see if you were right or not.

III. Предъявление лексики по теме. (7 мин.)

To speak about the future of books and computers we need new words from exercise 2 A at page 122.

1. Read the words and their definitions. Three of them are mixed. Find and match them.

2. Using the given definitions, explain what these words mean.

IV. Закрепление новой лексики. (17 мин.)

1. Чтение текста по теме и выражение согласия (несогласия) по поводу отсутствия будущего у книг.

There are different opinions about the future of books and computers. This is one of them.

1. Read one opinion on the future of books in ex. 2 D, p. 123. While reading, fill in the gaps with the words from the screen. (Слайд 2)

2. Listen to the tape and check your answers.

3. Agree or disagree that there is no future to printed books. Explain why. Use the information from the text of ex. 2 D at p. 123.

Let’s listen to what young people think about the future of books and computers.

1. Listen and fill in the chart. Tick the correct column. (Слайд 3)

2. Say what these people think about the future of books and computers.

For example: Dana thinks that computers will replace books.

3. Who do you agree (disagree) with?

As for me, I think that books and computers will co-exist.

For example: Dana thinks that computers allow us to access the latest information really quickly.

As for me, I agree with Michael. Books are enjoyable things.

V. Минута отдыха. (2 мин.)

Now it’s time to have a short rest. Eyes are tired and hurt because we have to stay in front of monitors for hours. Let’s do a number of exercises to help our eyes. Don’t move your head, only eyes.

Eyes up, eyes down, eyes left, eyes right, roll your eyes, shut them, open them.

Now you can move your head.

Look on the left at the window and say if you like today’s weather? Why?

To my mind nobody knows what the future holds. May be books and computers will co-exist. In fact, books have always been a part of human culture and they will always be.

The problem of education is very topical in the modern world. Many people think that digital technologies are going to replace printed books in the future but others do not agree. They say that textbooks will last forever. Let us consider the facts which are for this statement.

From my point of view, the ability of the computer to store a lot of information is the most important advantage. To start with, let us converse about machines. Fifty years ago computers were only able to count numbers. Today they satisfy all needs of the humankind. If someone is passionate about printed books, he must spend a lot of free space at his home. Consequently, people can keep millions of books if they use a personal computer. In addition, we can save money. Everyone would probably agree with me that electronic versions of novels, which are sold on the Internet, are cheaper than customary ones.

Nevertheless, some people think that computers will never replace books. The main argument in favour of their opinion is the comfort of reading. They consider that a person does not get pleasure from reading

However, I do not agree with this opinion that if someone uses electronic ink in the devices, person’s eyes will not become tired of the display and hence, can take pleasure from reading through electronic devices rather than printed books.

To conclude, I would like to stress that in spite of all valid considerations of people who believe that textbooks will last forever, it still seems to me that computers are going to replace printed books.

С чем именно нужна помощь? С идеей, с грамматикой, с оформлением? Дорогие друзья! Никто за вас ваши задания не сделает. Возможно, помогут разобраться с теорией. Задавайте вопросы правильно, не „сделайте вместо меня“ а „я делаю-делаю, а вот в этом месте не понимаю, почему так? “ или „где почитать про то как решать такие задачи“ и т. п. Ну вы поняли, да? Удачи! Все пишут идея идея тебе нужно написать что будет в будущем компьютер или книга, рассказать о них . Нужели непонятно ну, а эссе за тебя писать никто небудет Книги будут нужны всегда, именно в их первоночальном варианте, без наворотов типо аудио -книга, или тупо скачивание из интернета! Разве не приятние держать в руках, новенькое произведение, слышать, как при перелистывании шуршат страницы, и чувствуеться легкий запах чернил и бумаги. Может я не современна, но разве может заменить электроника: книагу в руках, да и так лучше воспринимаеться информация, а от монитора болят глаза. Мы и так много времени проводим за кампьютером, так что читать лучше по старинке))

Книги. Они были ещё в XVII (17) веке так популярны. В них пишут много чего интересного. Например про приключения. А иногда пишут и про воспамининия. Книг на свете очень много. В них обычно пишут очень много информации. Но сейчас книги не так популярны. Уже изобрели телефоны, планшеты, компьютеры и много чего другого. Сейчас, когда идёшь по улице можно встретить тех, кто идёт и смотрит в телефон. Все когда-либо сидели за компьютером.
А я думаю, что и про компьютеры когда-либо все забудут. Произведут новую технику. Поживём-увидим. Я думаю, што кто-либо думает про книги и читает их.

It is common knowledge that education plays an important role in forming personality. Some people think that books are traditionally the best kind of source for studying whereas others claim that computers are the future of education.

In my opinion, modern devices and technologies should be used in the process of studying. To begin with, a computer is a kind of source of information which is always close at hand, that fact lets students economize their time searching answers. Moreover, computers provide being in a contact with a teacher during illnesses, so pupils have possibility to continue getting knowledge and doing homework.

However, some people consider that books are much better because a person is to be concentrated on the information as there are no banners and advertisements which are always trying to catch the attention.

I do not quite agree with the ideas in previous paragraph.

Usually educational websites do not place advertisements but even if they do, modern computers have such programs as “ad-block” which does not let commercials appear.

To sum up, even though there are different points of view, I strongly believe that computers are the future of education.

Всем известно, что образование играет ведущую роль в формировании личности. Некоторые люди думают, что книги - это традиционно лучший способ для обучения, в то время как другие утверждают, что компьютеры - будущее образования.

По моему мнению, современные гаджеты и технологии должны быть использованы в процессе обучения. Для начала, компьютеры- источник информации, который всегда рядом, что позволяет ученикам быть на связи с учителем во время болезни, так что ученик имеет возможность продолжать получение знаний и выполнение домашней работы.

Однако, некоторые люди уверены, что книги гораздо лучше потому, что человек должен быть сконцентрирован на информации, а большое количество рекламных баннеров, пытающейся захватить наше внимание, мешает.

Я не совсем согласна с идеями предыдущего параграфа. Обычно образовательные сайты не размещают рекламу, но даже если они это делают, современные компьютеры имеют такие программы, как "эдблок", которые не позволяют им появляться.

Объединяя всё выше сказанное, несмотря на то, что существуют разные точки зрения, я твёрдо уверена, что компьютеры- будущее образования.

I don't think that paper books will exist for ever. They are more expensive than electronic books, they need much more space and often are rather heavy. It's unpleasant to read paper books when they become old and rather dirty.
I can see why some people think that computers will soon replace books. It's an inevitable process. If we have a look at the history of books we will see that they were the main sourсe of knowledge, but today everything has changed. We get much information using our computers. Computers take less space and can contain thousands of books, that's why they are so popular. In my opinion sooner or later the right place for paper books will be in museums! =)
