Hmm. I flashed with this BIOS, installed the certs and everything and I still get error 0xC004E003 when I try to activate. I was able to successfully activate my main PC but I am having issues with this laptop for some reason. Any help is appreciated.

what edition of win 7 are you trying to use?

What key are you using? - its possible that the first leaked one (Lenovo Ultimate) is blocked by now as Microsoft said they would blacklist it!

oh , and make sure your running the commands as Admin!

I'm running everything as Admin, and I've tried the two other keys for Ultimate, the Dell and the Acer. I was able to get my desktop to activate just days ago using the same key. I'm wondering if using an Acer SLIC table wouldn't make a difference. I realize it shouldn't but its the only thing I can think of. When I open the SLIC table for viewing it shows the proper values for SLIC 2.1. Either that or I'm using the wrong Certificate, but I've tried both HP-Compaq and a plain HP. Are there new ones out that I'm missing perhaps?

Heres a mega-mod for the Acer Aspire 3680. This wonderful machine has already been tested and you can replace the ancient slow Celeron M with a 800mhz FSB or 1066mhz Core 2 Duo. :O

Figuring that most people never use IR Port / Serial Port / Parallel Ports anymore , i unlocked a few more useful options and replaced the advanced page.

Check out the comparison below. Original bios on the left , this modded on on the right.

Hello 1234s282!! Thank you very much for this mod. I tried this mod and luckily I had no errors, but I could not find advanced options. The bios menu remains as before, I can not see any change.
In these days I will upgrade my cpu, now I have T5200 and I want to install a T7200, but I wish also increase ram, this mod wil allow me to upgrade to 4Gb? or I will remain stuck in 2GB?
I found out there a modified version 1.3588, if you know this versión, could you tell me please the difference with this one.
Just one more question please: I have installed an internal bluetooth module, and apparently I have issues with the front switch, because sometimes it does not turn on. There is a chance to turn it on through bios menu? Does not bother me much that it is always on (or off).

I havent heard of or cannot find any reference to the 1.3588 bios you mention.

If your Advanced menu looks exactly the same , i dont think the mod took correctly - try again!

the 2gb max ram is a chipset limitation therefore cannot be solved with a bios update = hardware issue

I've flashed again my bios and nothing happens, there is no advanced menu at all. I think I'm doing something wrong. Could you give me some suggestion please, perhaps some step that I have missing?

I found these options caused BIOS Setup Menu screen to freezed; " IGD - Device 2 " & " IGD - Device 2, Function 1 ". So, I has removed them.

Be careful with " Frequency Ratio ". It can caused notebook unbootable, even with unlocked CPU (unlocked multiplier). If your notebook unbootable after changing this option, you'll need to reset CMOS (by disconnecting the CMOS/RTC battery - you'll need to disassemble your notebook to access it). My advice, DO NOT change the " Frequency Ratio " value.

Create Crisis Disk using WINCRIS.EXE (need a floppy disk with USB floppy drive). Create it in Windows XP (32-bit OS).
The "BIOS.WPH" in the package is BIOS V1.3508 for Acer Aspire 3680.
Make sure the battery is disconnected from the laptop and the power cord is connected to the laptop. Laptop must be in power-off state.
Hold the Fn+Esc keys and then press the power button (without releasing the Fn+Esc keys).
The USB floppy drive indicator will flash as it reads the BIOS file from the disk. You can release the Fn+Esc keys when you see it.
While in the recovery process, display will always blank.
Recovery process will take a while (more than one minute). Please be patient. Laptop will automatically restart when recovery process succeeded. Laptop should boot normally afterward.

It works well on Acer Aspire 5583.
Could I request to add unhide AHCI in advance menu?

Today I put T7600G into Aspire 3680!! with modded-bios by Legendary creators of this site!! In bios advanced menu frequency ratio option appeared. As I increased multipliers to 16 or 17 and saved and restarted the system it kept automatically restarting on it's own and didn't boot up.

The same happened in windows if I exceeded number 16 with throttlestop. So I found in the internet how much voltage I could increase. It is said that max is 1.5.

Now everything is fine with 17x and 1.3000v( win 7 test from 5.9 increased to 6.3), I get 2.83 GHz. It seems 18x and 1.3500 is also good, but it fails windows 7 test and as I tried to sisandra, though it did well with 3d mark 2000. and without crashing in all other daily tasks with 2.993 GHz.

Now my question is, is it possible for you guys to add voltage control in that bios as addon to frequency ratio option? Or maybe there are some other ways in this bios or mechanically how I can help this? What do you think? At the moment I also use 2GB+1 GB RAM( 2 GB coming from ebay soon), but could it be an issue?

Сделал темку по аналогии с Toshiba.

через год эксплуатации. Ну и матрицы (Равно как и мониторы) Acer-овские - тоже отдельная песня, вроде проблем нет, но с яркостью-контрастом все таки что то не то.

Ну и в таком духе, продолжайте.

новый 5920 качество деталий класс привод сони-нек лететь не должен. матрица да контрастность яркость нормальные а вот углы обзора ацтой, но как говорится лучшим во всём быть нельзя. Доволен на все сто.

экран "стеклянный" , углы обзора и по вертикали и по горизонтали оч большие.
Выбирал тщательно
критерии при выборе:
1. минимальная стоимость/нормальное качество
2. максимальное количество "дырок" для коммуникаций
Точно знал что покупаю, всем оч доволен, дрова под ХРюшу на сайте есть и сам сайт отличный и раздел поддержки отличный в отличии от . ASUS к примеру.

Если на поддержке чего-то не находите смотрите асеровский фтп там вообще всё есть
Я не модер, мне опросы неподвластны. Бук такой-же, жалко что WiFi и Bluetooth стоят заглушки :)

Я думал, там место всё подготовлено, осталось только сам чип воткнуть. И антенна тоже проложена. У меня при попытке сдвинуть переключатель WLAN пишется, что Enabled, правда ничего не происходит.
PS В сервис-центре и BTH, и WiFi поставят. Не за спасибо, конечно.

Не помню номера-буквы дальше, но со свеми коммуникациями и ва-аще упакован по максимуму для своей линейки.
Не нравится, что WiFi не поддерживает никакое шифрование кроме WPA 64/128. Пока никто не взломал моего канала, но КПК и даже ЗЫЗ сынишки поддерживают гораздо более продвинутые способы шифрования.

Когда подбирал его себе, от компетентного продавца-консультанта (знакомый) получил фразу: "лучше покупать Китай, на котором честно написано, что это - Китай, а не Объединенная Европа или Голландия. Один фик - Китай." Это он про НР .

Если отбросить претензии типа мало держит акк (мой пока 3 часа с ВиФи держит), которые можно предъявить абсолютно всем букам, то других недостатков не обнаружено. Тьфу-тьфу-тьфу .

Своего ответа в опросе не нашел. Я бы ответил, что полностью удовлетворяет.

Хорошая машинка, все устраивает, но после года использования как-то разболталась клава (при нажатии на кнопки цоканье какое-то не такое :) ), у крышки люфт появился, протерся корпус, где ладони ставлю. Сейчас купил родителям HP 6620, качество сборки ни в какое сравнение. Да, и еще. Поставляемая винда с асерами-это ужас. Дурацкие асеровские приложения, безумно грузящие систему (у меня загрузка на минуту дольше чем без них). На ХП такого нет и в помине. Думаю, следущим буком будет ХП. Фиг знает, может и подготовлено. Я так это подумал, нафик оно мне нужно - есть трубка с вафлей и зубом. Кабель к ней тоже всегда с собой. Ну и зачем оно мне? :)

Дурацкие асеровские приложения, безумно грузящие систему (у меня загрузка на минуту дольше чем без них).

Да это почти все производители небезгрешны: У тошибы тоже море радостей, у азуса хватает. Сносить-сносить-сносить и ставить нормальную винду. Для любителей D2D Recovery - переделывать дистрибутив :)

ИМХО. Ноутбук - не настольный компьютер, здесь важна мобильность. И, бывает, нет времени ждать, пока он там загрузится, когда информация нужна срочно (конечно если этой информации нет в КПК :) ).

Довелось сравнить свой ACER TravelMate 2493(старшая конфигурация с гигом оперы и хардом на 120) и ASUS Z99L - обе модели бюджетного диапазона,примерно одинаковая цена,сходны параметры - с обоими покопался не так мало:
на Асере прикручивал ХР второй системой(продаётся с Вистой бизнесс),разумеется все дрова и настройки и оптинизации двух систем,ну и т.п;
на Асусе установка ХР тока без Висты(продаётся с ДОСом) и дальнейшая доводка "до ума"(кстате не так просто ставить ХР на эту модель,есть небольшой гимор с контролером харда,нужен внешний флопик и полазать в биосе)

Я бы так сказал : не то что бы АСЕР очень хорошь,но и другим не уступает.
