Он представляет собой довольно-таки мощный эффект, способный как на очень мягкую модуляцию сигнала, так и на весьма интенсивное дробление звука.
Он выполняет как кольцевую модуляцию (ring modulation), так и преобразование частот, поэтому весьма справедливо было бы говорить о том, что Freq Shifter — это два эффекта в одном.
Похоже что Frequency Shifter также является одним из самых недооцененных и мало используемых эффектов Ableton Live. Чтож, надеюсь данная статья немного поправит ситуацию. =)
В режиме Shift (Сдвиг) к частоте входящего сигнала добавляется постоянная величина в герцах, в результате чего на выходе мы имеем странные, негармоничные звуки.
Ручку Frequency пока оставим в покое и начнём с настройки регулятора Fine (тонкая настройка).
Попробуйте создать сдвиг в районе 3 Гц (проще всего это сделать, ткнув на числовое поле под регулятором и вбив циферку 3), а регулятор Dry/Wetустановите на 50%, чтобы услышать прикольный эффект сдвига фазы (похоже на phaser, но звучит по-другому):
Кнопка Wide придаст эффекту стерео глубину, так как в то время, когда в левом канале тон будет повышен, в правом — понижен.
(Вы, конечно, заметили, что после того, как вы нажали на кнопку Wide, название регулятора Fine изменилось на Spread, что значит «широкая настройка».)
Теперь вращайте ручку Frequency (частота).
Здесь нужно небольшое пояснение: эффект от сдвига частоты будет чрезвычайно выраженным!
В режиме Ring (кольцо) устройство переключится на кольцевую модуляцию, которая включает как прибавление, так и вычитание фиксированной частоты, что в конечном итоге даст немного другой, но всё же не менее причудливо звучащий эффект
В этом режиме доступна регулировка параметра Drive, который добавит сигналу искажений: вписывайте требуемое значение в числовое окошко.
Секция LFO (низкочастотный генератор) выглядит почти так же, как и в других эффектах Ableton Live, за тем исключением, что регулятор Amount(величина) имеет отметку “Hz” (герц); таким образом, вы точно знаете, какая именно частота LFO будет влиять на частоту вашего аудио сигнала:
Но никто, конечно, не мешает вам щелкнуть на кнопочку прямо под “hz” с изображением ноты, и, тем самым, синхронизировать колебания LFO с темпом проекта.
В остальном, секция LFO аналогична тем, которые есть в Auto Filter или в Flanger-Phaser эффектах, о которых я писал ранее.
В силу того, что эффектом Frequency Shifter можно значительно изменить основной тон сигнала, его применение оправдано только в том случае, когда сохранение точной тональности не является вашей первоочередной задачей.

Для того чтобы установить такой плагин необходимо скопировать файл с расширением DLL в папку (смотри пункт 2) VstPlugins. Что я и сделал.

После сканирования программа FL Studio определит все новые плагины и выделит их красным цветом.

This simple, straightforward, and easy-to-use plugin by Profession Sound Projects comes with a few exciting tricks up its sleeve.
The interface consists of 2 main knobs:
Left Focal Shift and Right Focal Shift through which you can control the amount by which the frequency of the signal is shifted up or down for either side. Then you have a choice between 3 frequency sweep settings which are either 1 kHz, 3 kHz, or 10 kHz in either direction. By default, the two main knobs are linked together and so their levels are set the same. However, you can control either of them independently using the source switch on top.
