As of version 0.2.50 release, the game currently offers three different species: Dogz, Catz and Hamsterz.

Overview

Each petz can be equipped with a specific set of Partz. Some Partz work for all or multiple species and some are exclusive to one species.

Every petz go through different growth stages and some stages may not do/be something.

Since the version 0.3.38, the body partz for all kinds of the petz that was already created can be edited.

Dogz are the first species to be implemented in the live version game. The basic price of a dog is 150 .

Notable Behaviors

• Will be scared of standing on higher places like shelfs
• Rubs its ear with its hindleg
• Shakes its head with an object in its mouth
• Will growl and will not release an object in its mouth when the player is pulling out it until they drag it from the dog in the distance
• Will growl and compete each other in order to get an object when a dog trying to hold it that is already held by another dog

Catz were the second pet implemented into the game, around July 2019. The basic price of a cat is 300 .

Notable Behaviors

• Licks its foreleg
• Punches any toys around it
• Jumps highly and lands to somewhere else
• Carries a hamster or kitten around in its mouth
  • Will automatically release it right before either of them goes to be assigned or stored

  Hamsterz

  Hamsterz are the third pet to be implemented into the game, about a month after Catz. The basic price of a hamster is 3 .

  Dragonz

  Dragonz are the fourth pet to be implemented into the game, after the version 0.3.1.

  Notable Behaviors

  Availability

  Unlike other petz, the player have to obtain a dragon egg in order to hatch and obtain it.

  The following is the known ways to obtain dragon eggz:

  • Purchasing:
    • Event-exclusive Perfect and Rainbow eggz in the Shop
    • Random/Rainbow eggz in the Ham Seed Shop

    Selecting colors while pixing a dragon, the player can choose the same base color with different brightness level.

    Once a dragon egg was obtained, it will be stored in the Pet Box, treating it as a pet and its gender will be assigned. Therefore, it is not possible to select a gender after hatching and pixing a dragon.

    The dragonz can freely switch its own eyes or ears part(z) with different one(s), which will result in the existing part to be removed.

    Each dragon's base colors are bound by its egg's colors, which the player cannot use other base colors when pixing it. However, those hatched from the Rainbow eggz can have any colors to be used.

    The first two base colors have 12 levels of brightness, while the rest base colors have 6 levels of brightness.

    The number of colors for a dragon egg is determined by its own grade as shown as below, not counting the white:

    
    

    These Petz are different species and have a decreased chance of breeding.

    Breeding is a mechanic in which two Petz can create one to three baby Petz which carry a mix of each parent's traits. The chance of either parent passing down any of their Partz is exactly 50%.

    Requirements

    In order to breed, certain requirements must be met:

    1. Petz must be teens or older.
    2. Petz must be different genders.
    3. Petz should know each other to increase chances of a successful breed. See "Friendship Meter" for more info.

    Children from Petz of the same gender can be previewed but cannot actually be created.

    If both petz aren't same species, they will have a decreased chance of a successful breed and the cross-bred babies will be unbreedable forever.

    Friendship Meter

    Friendship is a measure of how much time Petz have spent together in your Home. The longer they are together, the more the meter increases, and your chances of breeding those Petz successfully increases with it. Statistics as they relate to breeding are as follows:

    Please keep in mind, these times are without interaction. Petz can increase friendship levels faster if they play with toys together or are brushed.

    The friendship meter also affects interactions between petz, like catz will only hiss at strange dogs (under 20% friendship).

    Hearts will be shown if the pet likes another pet over 90% and they're both the same species and opposite gender (or they are family and one is still a baby). Petz can have asymmetrical feelings towards each other, as certain actions decrease affection.

    After successfully breeding, a female pet will remain pregnant for 5 days. Players have the option to 'hurry' the pregnancy at a price of 10 per day, for a total of 50 to achieve an immediate birth.

    Progress of the pregnancy is indicated by a small heart beside the Petz' name. Once she is ready to give birth, the heart will be full and become darker. At this point the player may move her to the home area where she will give birth to her new babies!

    Color Mechanics

    The mechanics involved in the breeding algorithm for grouping similar colors into a pattern are based on this research. The code used can be found here and was modified by Sketchi to suit the needs of the game.
